We are a family owned and operated business, built on honesty, integrity, excellent customer service, and quality craftsmanship.
Founded by Ferdinand Halter in 1965, Halter's Body Shop, Inc. is still a family owned and operated business. Our story boasts a humble beginning in a two-stall garage located near the present-day downtown post office in Conway, AR, across the street from what is now Regions Bank. In 1968, Mr. Halter moved his business to its present location, which was once a part of his childhood home. In fact, one of the buildings sits on the site of the old calf barn - the barn where calves were kept separated from their mothers and bottle fed so the family could harvest milk. Our family has been deeply rooted in this community for generations dating back to 1878. We are honored to have customers who have chosen Halter's for generations. We owe them a debt of gratitude for allowing us to be a part of their lives from their first car to their last, from being a new driver to teaching their children to drive, to caring for their aging parents. Thank you for allowing us to serve you all these years.

Ferdinand Halter with oldest child, Angela. We've determined that this photo was taken in the Spring of 1966. It's hard to see, but the truck in the background displays the Halter's Body Shop name on each side of the bed. Beyond word-of-mouth, this is likely the only form of advertising used in those early years.
